A: Your drivers license and a Credit or Debit card.
How old do I have to be?
A: You must be 18 or older for non-motorized rentals and 21 or older for all motorized rentals.
Do I need a special license to operate?
A: If you are born on or after January 1st, 1982 you are required to have a watercraft license to operate anything over 10HP. However, we do offer a free rental exam that will grant you a license for the day.
Is more than one person allowed to operate?
A: Yes. As long as that person meets the requirements. They are 21 years of age, have a valid watercraft license (if they need one), and have presented us with their ID.
What do you mean by number of passengers?
A: Each boat has been approved by the Coast Guard for a certain number of passengers or weight limit based on size of the boat. Total head count.
Are dogs allowed?
A: Yes! Dogs are welcome on our rentals as well as our store. However, we ask you keep our boats clean. Any damage caused by dogs are subject to fees, including a cleaning fee if necessary.
Do you take reservations?
A: Alum Creek Marina only takes reservations on an all day basis. If you are only wanting a boat for only a couple hours or so, it is first come, first serve. With a reservation, you need to be here by 11am to pick the boat up. If you can not be here by 11am, give us a call and let us know an approximate time of arrival. If we don't see or hear from you by 11am, your reservation will be charged the deposit and the boat will go back to first come, first serve.
